ps - no way to avoid strong weed smell blowing in when certain large crowds pass by. not the restaurant's fault just a heads-up.
Delicious food with great, friendly service, and in a great location. Fair price for delicious curry. Looking forward to trying more dishes. Aside from the food, Chuck's hospitality alone makes me want to come back.
The food here is great! They have super quick service, and I highly recommend the mutter paneer!
Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan are awesome! Super friendly staff. Great new affordable addition to the neighborhood.
Convenient spot for takeout that just recently opened. Food was great - dal saag, chicken tikka masala, lamb chops (excellent). Bold flavors, possibly too much heat for the uninitiated but perfect for my tastes. Will definitely be back. Service was warm and welcoming!
Authentic, delicious, and affordable. Very friendly staff as well. Great addition to the SOMA/South Beach neighborhood.
I was REAAAALLY craving some Indian food today and I remembered that Naan N Curry had just opened up down the street, so I swung by for some takeout. So glad I did! The lamb vindaloo was a little oilier than what I'm used to, but the the lamb was very tender and the sauce was nice and spicy! The service was fast and the man who took my order was really friendly. I'll definitely be back to try the other curries :).
I've been to a few Naan n Curry over the years, and this new pop up was a welcome addition to my lunchtime options. There are a few Indian options nearby, but none are quite as approachable as this familiar chain.
Foodwise, it's pretty solid. I got the daal palak today and it really hit the spot. For context, the palak from the last place I went was surprisingly bland (I didn't think it was possible either), and over blended, it left me full but not quite satisfied in the great mouthful department. This is where NnC delivered today. (Pick up orders are pretty fast there btw, if the line was any indication)
Another awesome thing NnC does is their lunch special sets. Rice or Naan with a Meat or Veggie entre, for $10 or less, and the turn around is 10 minutes or less. I saw a girl order, sit down, then be handed her to go order in less than a minute. So if you're pressed for time and are up for fan favorites, this is a great option.
Before I get to the reason for 5 stars, I'll let you know my one critisism: they really need to clean up the situation in front of house to facilitate the long lunch lines. They very nicely left big chairs against the wall for people waiting on their to go orders, but it's blocked by the line to order, which in turn is squished by the massive furniture in the dining area. The space is tiny and could be maximized with slightly smaller furniture and an optimized flow for traffic.
So the reason for the 5th star? Service. Customer service is so important, and in my experience has always been what sets a place above the rest. The cashier was friendly and fast, efficient, and patiently helped customers who were unsure of their order when they got to the front. The server was serious but quick, and I saw her communicating with the cashier several times to keep the busy store moving. I will always appreciate a staff that makes sure you leave satisfied, instead of just soon. So great job, please keep that up!
I love the food here I've been eating naan n curry for years
friendly staff and love the new location it opened
try the garlic naan its great
Finally so happy to have a good indian restaurant that serves really good paneer tikka masala near At&t park, the cashier was very kind and sweet to give us complimentary kheer!
The restaurant is pretty small and they're definitely still working the kinks out, but for take out, fairly quick, fairly cheap, tasty, fresh Indian food, it's great! My to-go order took about 15 minutes to make, even though the place was empty, but I was fine with that because everything was clearly freshly made.
The chicken tikka masala (ordered spicy) was very creamy (which I like) and had lots of big chunks of chicken and a great flavor with a nice amount of spicy heat. The lamb vindaloo (ordered medium) was really watery (which wasn't great) but had a lot of lamb (though some pieces were a bit chewy) and a nice flavor and was quite spicy.
The plain naan was light and fluffy, the garlic naan was amazing and fluffy and had tons of fresh garlic, and the onion naan was also chock-full of onion pieces (almost too much!) though they were a bit undercooked or too raw for my taste. I love that the naan was so full of the flavor as advertised; way too many places have onion or garlic naan that barely taste of either of those things.
All-in-all I would absolutely get the chicken tikka spicy again, as well as the plain and garlic naan. I definitely plan to come back again and try more of the menu as well.
This is one of the best indian food I tried.
The restaurant is pretty small, however I like that I can see the kitchen.
Fast service and very reaasonable prices.
Wow that was delicious! I've had a lot of Indian food in the neighborhood; Ruchi, Chaat, North India, mehfil, shalimar, and more. Naan and Curry is way better. Each dish was so flavorful and had a home cooked taste. The price is great for south beach too. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes.
Chicken Tikka Masala
I rarely eat at Indian restaurants because of the bad experiences I have had in the past. This is my second time eating here and I'm so glad this place opened.
The first time, they accidentally started making me a dish that I hadn't officially ordered yet so when it came out, the owner apologized and decided to eat it so it wouldn't be wasted. I ordered the garlic Naan but the owner felt the wait was too long and so he brought out an original Naan for me to munch on while I waited.
The chicken Tikka Masala was so tender and juicy. The curry was delicious as was the Naan.
The first time I came, it was a bit cramped because of the large round tables. The owner took the other yelpers review to heart and traded out the tables for something a bit more space friendly.
When I came today, they offered complimentary tea.. And it was delicious!
Tasty & fresh food, generous portions, reasonable prices. The curry and briyani can serve 2 moderately hungry people.
A suggestion: a naan+rice+curry or naan+curry combo (with a smaller curry portion) for less than $10 would be a nice addition to your menu -- it's more appealing to the office-lunch crowd than ordering naan + full portion of curry.
So stoked they opened here. Nice folks too, gave me a free entree just cause they're friendly and I live in the hood. Yummy and inexpensive
Ate lamb curry and naan. Tasty and fresh. Will rate it on the higher side.
Great food. Small and cozy place. The naans are great and big. Also, the service was friendly and cheerful.
This place isn't glamorous inside... but oh my god is the food amazing. Such great flavors, Naan that is out of this world. Hope people keep coming here so that they stick around, such a great addition to the neighborhood.
I ordered takeout. Chicken tandoori and achar chicken are both excellent. Naans were not as good as other Pakistani restaurants in town.
Had a delicious meal and the manager took great care to ensure I envied my meal. Highly recommend.
I went there for take out on a raining Wednesday. This place is clean, quick, friendly service and the food is soooo yummy! I got goat korma, mix vegi Tikka masala, chicken biryani, cheese naan, and mango lassi. I will be a regular here for my Indian fix. So happy for some tasty Indian food in the neighborhood.
Came from Santa Cruz, which has some good Indian places. But I loved the food, affordable prices, and friendly staff! Good first eating experience in San Francisco!
This is the fourth time I've been here, and man, I can't get enough of this place!! The staff are always friendly, but what keeps me coming back is the food. I can't say much about everything this restaurant has to offer, but I really like their naan 'n curry (haha). I always either get the lamb tikka masala and naan, or lamb curry and naan. I don't really write reviews because I don't really think I should take time off my day to write them, but Naan N Curry definitely deserves a 5 star review! 11/10 would eat here again.
Really solid food, fast and not too expensive. The guy working the register whenever I go is extremely friendly and welcoming. I actually think it's the best Indian restaurant out of the three on 3rd Street.
Tasty foods. Authentic recipes. Nice service. My new Go-To for cheap Indian eats.
The chicken tikka masala is on the sweeter side but still yums. Sikh kebab is on fleek. Naan is excellent too. Just wish they served cauliflower rice for us that are watching our carbs.
Great flavors - friendliest staff! Love this addition to the neighborhood. Portions are perfect size for sharing.
Love me some Naan N Curry!!! I frequent both the an Fran and Concord restaurants
I freaking love this place! Super fast service for pickup (orders are ready in 15 min or less) and it has the best tikka masala I've had in the Bay Area so far. I also like that they let you order a small or large side of just tikka sauce with your order (my preference since I tend to enjoy sauces more than the meat in it).
Great food and fast service.
Some feedback for management:
1. The chai is not good and very watered down. The chai at Pakwan is really good and maybe something you can use for inspiration.
2. Would be great to have a mix plate option for lunch. Curry + vegetable/daal + naan/rice
3. A lot of people would love a 'chai time' special around 3 pm. Chai, samosas, pakoras, etc during this time would attract plenty of folks who currently just go to coffee. But you have to improve your chai first
This was amazing for a quick and delicious lunch! Got the chicken tikka masala and the samosa and it was so good! Will absolutely come back here again soon.
I ordered some vegetarian dishes and naan and rice tonight, and was pleasantly surprised by the quantity. For $30 dollars, it is definitely enough to cover two dinners for two people. A little salty, but satisfying. Pick-up service was timely and friendly, even near the end of a Giants game.
What can I say this place is great. It's fast and delicious. The prices are good and the staff is friendly. I only thing I would recommend is, you should have combo meals. Especially being next to the ball park. This will be my frequent eatery during the baseball season.
Really satisfying food. Naan was yummy and soft. The samosas are so good and slightly spicy. My husband and I will be ordering again from this place again. Extremely fast delivery!
One of my favorite places in SF so far. Friendly service, short wait time, and delicious food with big serving sizes
Best tiki masala and naan I've ever had. I can't get enough of it, so good. The tiki masala has such amazing flavor. Ripping and dipping some naan into the tiki masala is the stuff of dreams.
Came here before a concert. Got Spicy Panner Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan. Only complaint that the bottom of the naan was a little burnt but other than that the food was deliciousz
Came here after a game looking for a place to eat fast, we're really happy with the great taste and very big portion compared to the low price. Tasted awesome and it's a very nice, quiet place to spend time.
We loved this place! Their made-on-the-spot fresh naan is amazing! I've liked every dish I've gotten so far when I want some sort of curry. There's a bathroom & self-serve water. Great for dinner before the game.
I ordered chicken tikka masala n some garlic naan.. service is very fast n food is very delicious. Best chicken tikka masala n garlic naan i have ever taste in sf. Reasonable price with excellent service. Last time i had palak paneer and chicken curry that was also very delicious. Highly recommend.
Naan n curry has been my all time favourite restaurant. It serves delicious biryani with raita. There chicken tikka masala is all time speciallity. The best part is they give you the options of spices hot, mild. There service is quick and even though the place is always crowded but still there service is fast and employees are always smiling and very hospitable. I prefer San fransisco if you want good indian food this restaurant provides you with the best vegetarian and non veg stuff. Good luck naan n curry.
It's great to have an old favorite in a new neighborhood! We ordered delivery through Eat24 and the chicken tikka masala was just as we remembered from the tenderloin days. We are long time supporters of this business. Welcome to the neighborhood
I always loved the Naan N Curry on O'Farrell, and was so bummed when they closed. The other Naan N Curry's in the City where nowhere as good as the O'Farrell one... until now! This place has taken the torch again!
Food - Serve Traditional Indian & pakistani Cuisine.
Worth of money with Fresh quality....
Either sit at the premises and eat or have an option to get it delivered to your door step.
Bought - A Veg roll $9 Look at the size and its stuffed with All Fresh vegetable including paneer.
Biryani was so delicious.
If you wanna try something worth the price in place like San Fransisco where its Rare to get a meal in 10$ would recommend Naan&curry which has Lot to offer.
Passing by my fiance and I decided to pop on in since we were both craving Indian & pakistani food. They were so nice to us here and upon hearing we had recently got engaged didn't charge us for the food and brought out lots of extra naan. Food was great we ordered our regular chicken tikka, garlic naan and baingan bharta. The staff kept coming over to congratulate us, which was so sweet and neighborly. We were both so glad we ditched our plan to go to a nearby expensive restaurant with a long wait, this turned out to be WAY better!
Chicken tikka masala review only-
Ordered it spicy and it was SPICY! Delicious, not watered down and generous with the chicken breast. Did I mention spicy? I am Thai people, snack on whole Thai bird chillies like spice tolerator and this was Just like I wanted! With naan or rice it's perfect, and the heat is gradual and creeper like. The establishment is a no frills joint, with some serious naan and delicious curry. Why 4 stars and not 5? Because I'm a thigh kinda girl;-)
As a local, this is my go-to Indian spot. It hits the spot if you're looking to scratch the Indian food itch. It's not the highest quality Indian food in the city by a long stretch, but I know what I'm getting and I've never been disappointed. This is basically my version of everyone's local takeout spot, which might not be the best food, but it's solid, reliable, and hits the spot when you're in the mood.
Delicious chicken biryani, less spicy and oily and yet so flavorful. Amazing customer service.
Graet place! The most fair price in SF , you can have meal of 3 choices and still cheap price! Love this place :))
We had aloo naan and it was made fresh upon request. 1 Naan was huge and enough for two people to share for a great price.
One of the great vegetarian food in city
Aloo gobhi , paneer tikka masala Great.
Definitely I will come back.Ateeq he is very happy helpful guy. This time definitely 5 stars for you.
Good Tikka Masala and Naan bread, love getting takeout from this place. They're also really fast with orders by phone or grubhub
The chicken Tikka masala was delicious and the garlic naan was a good portion to split for two. The food was delicious.
One of the great vegetarian food in the city. Aloo gobhi, paneer tikka masala - Great. Definitely, I will come back. Ateeq he is a very happy helpful guy. This time definitely 5 stars for you.

Tikka Marsala is good enough it was worth more than 12 bucks. The Naan is off the charts here too.
